Biography
Rudy Demotte is the President of the Parliament of Wallonia, position he held since September 2019. Throughout his political career, he has held numerous positions. He began his tenure as the Federal Minister for the Economy and Scientific Research in 1999, serving until 2000. From there, he became the Minister of Budget, Culture, and Sports for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, Mr. Demote was appointed as Federal Minister for Public Health and Social Affairs, position he held until 2007. Later he became the Minister-President of the Walloon Government from 2007 to 2014, before being appointed as the Minister-President of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation from 2008 to 2014.
