Biography
Rik Daems is a Belgian senator and former minister (state owned enterprises / state owned assets - finance / telecom / sme / member of the core cabinet). Moreover, he is ALDE group's leader within the Belgian senate, member of the venice commission, president of the parliamentary assembly of the council of europe ( jan. 2020 - jan. 2022 ). He has been a member of parliament since 1987.
