Biography
Alfonso Cuenca Miranda is Legal Advisor to the Cortes Generales since 2001. PhD in Law. University Degree in Law by ICADE (E-1). Deputy regional minister for Justice and Public Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madrid from 2003 to 2012. He has held several positions as Legal Advisor to the Spanish parliamentary Chambers, among them, Director for Budget and Procurement and Director for Infrastructures of the Senate (2012-2021), as well as Director for Studies, Analysis and Publications of the Congress of Deputies (2021-2024). Currently, he is Director for Committees of the Congress of Deputies, providing likewise advice as legal advisor to the Economy, Trade and Digital Transformation Committee. He has also been the Legal Advisor of the Spanish Delegation before the Inter Parliamentary Union.
