Biographie
Ryszard Petru - Polish economist, entrepreneur and politician. Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in the years 2015-2019 and from 2023. Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Development of the Sejm and member of the Committee on Constitutional Responsibility. Vice-chairman of the delegation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Since December 2024, he has also served as the PACE General Rapporteur for a Democratic Belarus.
In his parliamentary activities, Mr Petru focuses on issues concerning the economy and entrepreneurship. In addition to his parliamentary activities, he has many years of experience working in the private sector (banking, investment, economic analysis), public institutions (Ministry of Finance) and international institutions (World Bank).
