Biography
He was first elected Member of the European Parliament in 2009. In his third term as MEP since 2019, he is Vice-Chair and Speaker for the EPP group of the Committee on Legal Affairs, substitute member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. This year, Mr. Voss also became a Member of the new Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence. During his first term, he focused on European Data Protection. During the second term, he became rapporteur on the reform of the EU copyright law. Since 2019, he has been rapporteur on the civil liability for technologies based on artificial intelligence. Currently he is rapporteur of the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence, where he especially engages on creating a European way of digitization.
