Biography
Simina Tulbure is a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament where she plays a leading role in Romania’s efforts of joining the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as a member of Parliament’s dedicated special joint committee. She is also Romania’s first woman MP to represent the 5 million strong diaspora and is currently a Vice-President of the centrist REPER party. As an MP, she has initiated legislation aimed at combating human trafficking, Diaspora affairs, e-identity cards, and guaranteeing safe abortion procedures. Before her tenure as MP, Simina worked for the European Parliament and the European Investment Bank.
