Biography
Emma Nohrén (MS Marine ecology) is a member of the Swedish Riksdag for The Greens (MP) since 2022 (and 2014-2018). She chairs the Committee on Environment and Agriculture and is deputy member of the EU Affairs Committee and the Committee on Foreign Affairs. She is also member of the Riksdag delegation to the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. Her main political focus areas are climate and environment, ocean and, international development cooperation, among others.
In 2018-2022, the government appointed her chair of the cross-party Committee on Environmental Objectives (Swe. Miljömålsberedningen) and have successfully led the committee to fully consensus among the Swedish parties when it comes to new Marine strategy and, a new Generational Goal for Sweden.
