Mayor of the Cartelle Town Hall from 1991-2017. Currently alderman of the same. Senator in the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain from 2008 to the present. Former President of the Spanish Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Member of the Spanish Delegation of the APCE. Member of the National Board of Directors of the Spanish Popular Party -Member of the EPP party at the APCE.
