Lise Bach Hansen is one of the four initiators of an ambitious new Nordic initiative: NORD 55°, which aims to bring together the Nordics' foremost thinkers with an annual summit to kick-start a new Nordic public. A visionary in the realm of international public debate, Hansen began her career in TV, theatre, and communication in Paris before transitioning to politics in the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. Her work has consistently focused on the relationship between art, politics, and democracy.
For many years, she has been at the forefront of one of the largest live literary scenes in the Nordic region, The International Authors’ Stage at the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen, a forum that brings together individuals ranging from Nobel laureates to heads of state. In addition to her role as a curator and moderator in various Nordic contexts, she sits on several boards and is the co-author of the books Sæt Scenen and Arctic Imagination
