Description
In a time marked by growing economic uncertainty and complex local challenges, collaboration has become more essential than ever for driving sustainable local development. This session will explore the pivotal role of collaborative linkages—such as networks, communities of practice, and other associative models—in strengthening local development efforts across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience from the OECD Summer School for Local Development, the session will highlight how different forms of collaboration—ranging from informal communities of practice to structured business clusters and cooperatives—serve as crucial tools for resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth at the local level.
Through dialogue and the sharing of practical experiences, the session will reflect on how these diverse collaborative structures evolve, adapt, and support communities in responding to shifting economic and social conditions.
