Prof. Dr. Diego Kuonen, PhD in Statistics and CStat PStat, is founder, CEO and CAO of Statoo Consulting, Switzerland. He has extensive experience in consulting on applying statistical engineering and thinking to big data analytics for businesses and government in Switzerland and across Europe at the operational, tactical and strategic levels. In addition, Prof. Dr. Diego Kuonen, CStat PStat, is also Professor of Data Science at the Research Center for Statistics at the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) of the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and Founding Director of GSEM’s new Master of Science in Business Analytics program. Currently, he is also the Principal Scientific and Strategic Data Innovation and Data Science Advisor and Consultant for the Directorate and the Board of Management of the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (FSO) in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, Co-Author of FSO's Data Innovation Strategy and in particular consults at the strategic, tactical and operational levels FSO's new national Data Science Competence Center (DSCC).
Recognising the need to develop a social data literacy culture, he co-initiated “an appeal for an urgent national data literacy campaign” in 2020 (en.data-literacy.ch).
