As Finance Manager & Controller at BBVA Microfinance Foundation, Gabriela is responsible for overseeing the microfinance institutions located across Latin America & the Caribbean (in Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, Panama and Chile), ensuring the subsidiaries’ self-sufficiency, monitoring their progress and defining their roadmap.
Before joining the Foundation, Gabriela worked for Deloitte within its Audit & Assurance division in northern Spain. Prior to that, she spent some time in the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, and in Uganda working for the Swiss NGO ‘Seeds NGO’ coordinating the development of various microfinance related projects.
She graduated from Deusto Business School, where she earned a B.B.A. in finance & accounting and a Leadership Development Program.
