Nicolai Boserup is general counsel and senior vice president of the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU), Denmark’s development finance institution (DFI). Nicolai leads the team is responsible for the negotiation and structuring of IFU’s investments, IFU’s compliance with Danish and international regulation, including tax, IFU’s relations to the Danish government and institutional investors as well as IFU’s strategy and policy development. Nicolai is part of the senior management team that redesigned IFU from a wholly state financed DFI to a fund manager catalysing private institutional capital to sustainable investments in developing countries, and lead IFU’s fundraising with institutional investors. Nicolai represents IFU in the World Economic Forum and OECD Sustainable Development Investment Partnership, of which IFU is a founding member. Before joining IFU in 2010 Nicolai practised law in Copenhagen (with the law firm Bruun & Hjejle). He has law degrees from the universities of Copenhagen and Oxford.
