Mats Hårsmar, Programme Manager at the Swedish Expert Group for Aid Studies (EBA). He holds a PhD in Rural Development from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Previous positions include Chargé d’Affaires and Head of Development Cooperation at the Swedish Embassy in Burkina Faso; Senior researcher and research leader at the Nordic Africa Institute; Head of the Expert Group for Development Issues, EGDI, at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs where he also has been Chief Analyst for development policies.
