Presentation

Mr. Refik Akıncı was born in Ankara in 1967 and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1990. He joined the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) in 1994 in which he started to work as a junior project economist. Mr. Refik Akinci was Department Head for Economic Research between 2002-2014 during which he was also in charge of the Engineering Department of the bank for 3 years. From 2014 until August 2017, he was working as the Head of Development Finance Institutions Department of TSKB responsible from identification, origination, allocation, disbursement and overall internal/external coordination of the long-term funds extended to the Bank by multilateral and bilateral DFIs. Since September 2017 Mr. Refik Akıncı works as a senior advisor to the CEO and as Sherpa of the institution at DFI clubs. As of October 2019 he became Climate Facility Director of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) chaired by AFD. He also holds an MSc degree on International Banking & Financial Services from University of Reading.
