Xiaofang (Sarah) Wang is an associate lecturer in Education at Murdoch University in Australia. She is currently studying for her PhD, looking at the cross-national comparison in mathematics performance in PISA. She conducts comparative research on academic performance and segregation between schools, regions, sectors, and cultures, aiming to gain valuable insights into how education systems across different cultures and structures can be improved and made more equitable, effective and efficient. She also works on the projects related to critical thinking, well-being, and application of artificial intelligence in teaching and research. Her strong interest and proficiency in various research methods and techniques, including quantitative methods, QCA, R, and the fundamentals of AI, drive her commitment to staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field.
