Description
Ms Ilze Saleniece is the Deputy State Secretary and the Head of Policy Initiatives and Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia. She coordinated the development of the education strategy for Latvia for 2021-2027. Ms Saleniece has more than 10 years of experience in the management of innovative projects and change processes in the fields of education and culture, working both in international organizations and in public and non-governmental organizations in Latvia, as well as in the private sector. In addition to the knowledge and skills trained on the job, Ms Saleniece has received a master's degree in international and comparative education (Oxford University, United Kingdom), and a master's degree in educational sciences (University of Latvia). She is also an avid lifelong learner.
