Description

Urška Štremfel, PhD, is a scientific associate at the Educational Research Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds a PhD in public policy analysis from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Her research interests include the European aspects of policy analysis, especially new modes of governance in the European Union. In that framework, her research is focused on analysing the formation, implementation and evaluation of education policies. In studying the Europeanisation and internationalisation of the Slovenian education system, she studied the role that international comparative assessment plays in national education policymaking. She is the co-author of several scientific monographs, book chapters and scientific articles in the field. She has been a guest lecturer at the Department for Policy Analysis and Public Administration at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana since 2010. She is president of the governing board of the Network of Education Policy Centres.
