Description

Kristen Sample is the Director of the National Democratic Institute's Governance Team with oversight for anti-corruption, local governance, parliamentary strengthening, and democracy 'delivery' programs. Ms. Sample has more than 25 years of experience in democracy support programs, including more than 15 years working in Latin America. Prior to joining NDI, she was Director of Global Programs and Andean Regional Director for the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA). Ms. Sample has also published extensively and worked as a consultant for UN Women, the Inter-American Development Bank, Open Society Foundations, and the Club of Madrid.
