Description
I serve as the Chief Executive of Demos Helsinki. Demos Helsinki is an independent, non-profit think thank. We believe that only together we can fight for a fair, sustainable and joyful future. Our 50 people work in 30 countries annually to ensure that we are able to pull the necessary levers to get there.
More practically, I advice national and local governments, businesses and NGOs to anticipate and lead key transformations of our century. I've studied and written extensively on the need for 21st-century governance, focusing on democratic innovations, institutional imagination, and methodical experimentalism.
Key works include Finland’s framework for experimentalist policymaking, the Humble Governance model and the Untitled initiative. I'm constantly pushing for an ambitious agenda in governing collective action in problems like the climate crisis, inequality and transcending the current economic paradigm.
