Description

Ms. Giedrė Balčytytė serves as the Chancellor of the Government of Lithuania, a country that is at the frontline in many ways. Since starting her role in December 2020, Ms. Balčytytė has been coordinating the work of the Government, while constantly balancing between implementation of structural reforms and management of various crises and hybrid-attacks in a complex geopolitical environment. Ms. Balčytytė has extensive experience in international development, governance, strategic planning, and public administrative reforms. Prior to her current position, she led consultancy work in global information technology and consulting group, served as a representative at the Executive Board of the World Bank Group, and held various high-level positions in the Lithuanian Government.
