The panel will discuss the effectiveness of due diligence and traceability systems for 3T minerals in DRC in light of the findings of the Global Witness report “The ITSCI Laundromat: How a due diligence scheme appears to launder conflict minerals” and opportunities the EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence and the revision of the EU due diligence regulation for minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas may offer.
