Description
Sebastian leads the EITI International Secretariat's work on the energy transition, with a focus on governance risks in the transition minerals sector.
Prior to joining EITI, Sebastian spent more than eight years working on governance and sustainability issues in the natural resource sector. Most recently, he was an independent consultant advising a range of clients, including the World Bank, the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), Transparency International, Global Witness, Oxfam, Publish What You Pay, UNICEF, and several major mining and energy companies. Sebastian previously worked for NRGI in Myanmar where he led technical assistance and capacity development programmes for government and civil society. He started his career with the London-based consulting firm Critical Resource.
Sebastian holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at University College London and the University of Pennsylvania.
