Description
Désiré Nikiema is a natural resource and environmental economist specialising in Extractive Industries Governance and Development.
Désiré Nikiema is currently the West Africa Coordinator of the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM), an NGO working for responsible artisanal and small-scale mining worldwide. Long before joining ARM as country coordinator in 2019, he served as Technical Director of the consulting firm GE-EM International, and then as Environmental and Social Manager at Soroubat in Burkina Faso.
He supports public administrations, non-governmental organisations, mining companies and artisanal mining organisations in the West African region in the economic, social and environmental governance of extractive resources.
