In this session, panelists will scrutinise potential challenges and opportunities of formalising the ASM mica sector in Madagascar and implementing responsible mining standards. The experts will build on the experience of the gold ASM sector in Latin America and West Africa, and explore how the CRAFT code was used to facilitate due diligence conforming to the OECD Guidance, as well as to ensure responsible engagement with ASM and to reduce child labour.
