Organised by First Peoples Worldwide (FPW), Securing Indigenous Rights in the Green Economy (SIRGE) and Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) Despite significant global normative progress, the proper implementation of FPIC at mining sites continues to be a challenge. This workshop will introduce new guidance materials on FPIC, including relevant resources for identifying Indigenous Peoples globally, as well as an initial set of commonly asked questions and answers to help investors and purchasers of mined materials strengthen their independent due diligence related to FPIC. Workshop participants will be invited to share their experiences, additional questions, and offer examples of leading performance.
