Despite increasing recognition of the heightened human rights risks in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs), companies are struggling to identify, monitor, and track progress on conflict sensitivity in corporate sustainability reporting. Through perspectives from companies, investors, CSOs, leading sustainability reporting standards, and experts, the session will explore the importance of conflict sensitivity, how extractive companies in the minerals sector are meeting the increased requirements for conflict sensitivity in sustainability reporting, why gaps remain, and how to practically address challenges.
