Description

Darin Christensen is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at UCLA. His research examines the causes and consequences of armed and social conflict and policies that promote stability and public goods provision in low-income and fragile states. Christensen uses geo-spatial data and experimental methods to identify causal relationships, applying game-theoretic models to interpret empirical findings. He collaborates extensively with civil society and government agencies in the Global South. His work has been published in leading journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Political Science Review, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Christensen holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in Economics from Stanford University, and an A.B. from Duke University.
