Description
Kate is spearheading one of the largest projects ever done to create a social impact measurement standard: The Common Approach Project. Funded by ESDC at the Government of Canada, Kate is working alongside an all-star team of partners, including academics, data geeks, Impact Investors, philanthropists, charities, businesses and social enterprises. The standard will put in place the data and measurement infrastructure so that socially- and environmentally-conscious consumers and investors have what the need to make good and informed decisions. Kate is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. She has a Bachelor of Commerce, McGill University, an MSc Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Business and a PhD in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. She publishes on issues related to social justice and accounting.
