Studied political science at the University of Iceland (HÍ) 2003–2006. Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Iceland in 2016.
Founder of the People’s Party in 2016 and party leader since its establishment.
Member of Parliament for Reykjavík South Constituency since 2017.
Member of the Economic Affairs and Trade Committee 2017–2018 and 2022–2024, Budget Committee 2018–2021, Procedural Committee 2019–2021, Preparatory Committee for Credential Review 2021, Credentials Committee 2021. Member of the consultation committee on fishing fees since 2018.
Member of the Icelandic Delegation to the West Nordic Council 2017–2020, Member of the Icelandic Delegation to the Nordic Council 2020–2021.
Minister of Social Welfare and Housing since December 21, 2024.
