Description
Professor B. Shadrach until recently served the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada as Skills Advisor where he started a new program initiative, ‘Skills for Work’ to impart employable and job-ready skills among the people of the Commonwealth, in collaboration with national governments and local organisations.
In his career since 1986, he has managed ICT4D and skill development programs in over forty nations around the world, working for organisations such as the International Development Research Centre, Canada, OneWorld International, UK; Transparency International, Germany, telecentre.org, Philippines, and the British Council in India. Dr Shadrach has also consulted for UNESCO-UNEVOC, Germany; FCDO, UK; ITU, Geneva; ADB, the Philippines; UNDP, Iraq; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, US; World Wide Web Foundation, US; Practical Action, UK; the Open University, UK; Article19, UK and the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka.
He earned his PhD in Information Science as a faculty student from Loughborough University, UK.
