Description
Vladimir Vorotović is the Director of Strategy and Innovation at ERTICO – ITS Europe, where he leads initiatives focused on urban mobility, transport planning, traffic engineering, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Vladimir is managing a team of 25 seasoned experts and project managers within ERTIOC’s Innovation and Deployment, working on more than 30 R&D projects with a global budget of 450 million euros. Vladimir has a background in both engineering and business and holds a Master of Engineering in Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and a Master of Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.
Since joining ERTICO in 2020, Vladimir has contributed his expertise to a range of international projects, known for his ability to integrate advanced traffic modelling and innovative urban mobility solutions. His career highlights include playing a key role in several high-impact projects in the UK and globally, such as the pioneering shared space project on Exhibition Road, the planning for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and the development of the East West Cycle Superhighway. Additionally, Vladimir was instrumental in creating Transport for London's (TfL) Traffic Modelling Guidelines and enhancing their Model Auditing Process. Presently, Vladimir is a member of the Expert Group on Urban Mobility operating under auspices of the European Commission, and an international member of the United States Transportation Research Board Intelligent Transport Systems Committee.
As a dual British and Serbian national, Vladimir brings a multicultural perspective to his work and is fluent in English, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Russian. His global outlook and extensive experience in mobility solutions position him as a forward-thinking leader committed to advancing sustainable and efficient urban transportation.
