Description
Before joining the Biden administration as Senior Director for Technology and National Security on the National Security Council, Tarun Chhabra was senior fellow at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology at Georgetown University and a fellow with the Project on International Order and Strategy at the Brookings Institution.
He previously served as a speechwriter to the Secretary of Defense from 2013-2015 and assumed a role as Director in Obama’s National Security Council from 2015-2017. He has had a close working relationship with many of the Biden administration’s high-level foreign policy staff, such as Rush Doshi and Mira Rapp-Hooper.
Tarun received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow for New Americans, an M.Phil. from Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar, and a B.A. from Stanford.
