Description

Professor Siobhán O’Sullivan teaches Healthcare Ethics and Law in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. She is Chief Bioethics Officer at the Ministry of Health in Ireland and provides advice on policy and legislative instruments on bioethics related issues. She is vice-chair of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies which advises the European Commission and is the vice-chair of the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee on Bioethics. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm in 1998 and holds a Masters in Healthcare Ethics and law and a LLM in Human Rights Law.
