Description
Luis Rodrigo is a Senior Advisor at the International Organisation of Employers. His practice focuses on industrial relations, international labour standards, the future of
work and social protection.
From 2013 to March 2019, he served as Minister of Labour Affairs in Europe for the Government of Mexico at the Permanent Mission of Mexico in Geneva, Switzerland. As such, he was responsible of providing legal advice on international labour regulation and policy. Also, he represented the government in various international forums such as the ILO; OECD, WTO, IOM, and the G20, among others.
He served as regional coordinator for the Group of the Americas in the ILO (2015-2016)and as President of the Government Group of the ILO (2016-2017).
Luis Rodrigo holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico and a master’s degree in international business law (LL.M.) (cum laude), at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, School of Law, Leuven, Belgium.
