Description
Youcef GHELLAB is the Head of the Social Dialogue and Tripartism Unit of the ILO’s Governance and Tripartism Department. He holds a PHD in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from the Paris-Dauphine University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). He started his career in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in 1991 where he worked as Labour Economist.
He joined the ILO in 1994 and worked as Expert in Wage Policy and Industrial Relations. In 2001 he was appointed Senior Social Dialogue and Labour Law Specialist in the ILO Sub Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest, Hungary.
In 2008, he moved back to ILO HQ in Geneva as Senior Specialist on Social Dialogue and Employment Relations. In 2013 he was appointed by the Director General of the ILO as “Head of the Social Dialogue and Tripartism Unit/Department of Governance and Tripartism.”
Mr Ghellab has authored/co-authored several publications in the broad area of social dialogue and industrial relations.
