Description
Born in Fene (A Coruña) in 1971 and graduated in Law. She completed several advanced and postgraduate courses in labour relations, urban and land planning law and human resources. She also completed complementary training in Social Security, labour contracting, administration and political power and gender.
She started collaborating with several law firms, until she set up her own in Ferrol, where she currently lives. During her career as a lawyer, she dealt with various labour issues and problems and was an advisor to the fishermen's and women's guilds.
In 2007 she was elected councillor of Ferrol City Council, where she formed a coalition government with the PSOE and served as deputy mayor.
In 2012 she was elected to the Galician Parliament, where she served as deputy spokesperson until the 2016 general elections, when she was elected to represent Galician women and men in the Congress of Deputies. Since then, she has held several spokespersonships in Commissions such as Industry, Trade and Tourism; Commission of Economy and Enterprise; Commission of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness; Deputy Spokesperson of the Commission of Employment and Social Security; Deputy Spokesperson of the Commission of Territorial Policy and Public Function as well as Spokesperson of the Commission of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Toledo Pact Agreements, as well as spokesperson of the Confederal Group Unidas Podemos - En Comú Podem - Galicia en Común.
