Career:
After graduating in Applied Economics, Cecilia Boned started her career as Lecturer in this field at Université Paris Dauphine, and as a member of its Monetary Economics Lab.
Cecilia holds a longstanding experience at BNP Paribas Group, which started in 1988 when she joined Banque Nationale de Paris in France in charge of Sovereign Debt Restructuring. In 1991 she moved to General Inspection. 4 years later, she was appointed Head of Development for Emerging Markets at CIB. In 1997 she became Project Lead at Group Strategy & Development, and two years later she was appointed Global Relationship Manager at CIB in Paris.
She later moved to Spain to join Cortal Consors as Managing Director in 2002. She then joined Arval Group as Head of Insurance in 2006, and later returned to Spain, first as CFO and later as CEO of Arval Spain. In 2015 she is nominated CEO of Cardif Iberia until 2017, when she is promoted to Country Head for BNP Paribas Group in Spain.
She has been awarded with “Top 100 Leader Women in Spain” in 2013, 2015 and 2018, and “Best Auto Industry Spanish CEO” in 2013.
Education:
Cecilia holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics and a Postgraduate Degree (“DEA”) in International Finance & Economics by Université Paris Dauphine.
