Feb 24, 2022 | 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Description
There is increasing interest in the use of algorithmic audits to assess whether an AI system and its use align with ethical principles or regulation. Audits have been used, for example, to assess whether AI systems used in the work place prevent bias and discrimination. Some legislators, such as the New York City Council, have made auditing mandatory for some AI-based employment decision tools. Are algorithmic audits the answer to ensuring an ethical use of AI in the workplace? In this session, Christo Wilson and Stefano Scarpetta will discuss the potential and limitations of algorithmic auditing.
Moderator: Stefano Scarpetta, Director for Employment, Labour, and Social Affairs, OECD
