Description
Bernard de Longevialle is Global Head of Sustainable Finance for S&P Global
Ratings. He in charge of leading the execution of S&G Global Ratings Sustainable Finance Strategy with regard to Sustainable Finance Products including Second Party Opinions and Climate Transition Assessment. He is also heading an S&P Global Ratings Climate Finance Gap in Lower Income countries working group, which gathers representatives across credit rating practices, methodology, research and sustainable finance departments, with a goal to engage with stakeholders to identify roadblocks to private capital mobilization and assess how S&P Global Ratings can be an active stakeholder in that space, while keeping in line with its mission to provide high quality credit ratings and sustainable finance opinions.
Bernard joined S&P Global Ratings in 1998 and has been responsible for a number of Analytical and Managerial roles in both developed and developing markets, including Head of Financial Services & Sovereign IPF Credit Ratings for the EMEA region until September 2019 and Head of Financial Services Ratings for the US and Canada from 2013 until July 2016.
Prior joining S&P Global Ratings, Bernard worked five years at the French Central Bank and two years at a mortgage bank specialist. He has a master degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP), and also have a dergree in Law from the University of Nanterre (Licence en droit). From October 1997 until June 2000 he was Maître de
Conference (lecturer) in economics at IEP.
