Description
Eva Granados Galiano was appointed Secretary of State for International Cooperation by the Council of Ministers on 5 December 2023. As Secretary of State, she also chairs the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
Ms. Granados was spokesperson for the Socialist parliamentary group in the Senate from 2021 to 2023, a Member of the Catalan Parliament (from 2010 to 2021), and a Member of the National Secretariat of the General Workers' Union (UGT) of Catalonia (from 2002 to 2010), representing it on the Labour, Economy and Social Affairs Council of Catalonia and Spain. She previously worked in the field of corporate social responsibility at Alstom (2007-2010).
She holds a master's degree in political science and administration from the University of Barcelona and an executive master's degree in public management from ESADE.
