Description
Lasse Møller holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen (1992) and has over 30 years of experience in development cooperation. He specializes in private sector development and development finance, including blended finance and impact investing. Over his career, he has held senior positions in international organizations, bilateral agencies, and civil society organizations. He has been posted for more than 20 years in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Lasse is presently working as Senior Economist in the Private Finance for Sustainable Development (PF4SD) team at the OECD, and he has served as Co-Chair of the Community of Practice on Private Finance for Sustainable Development.
Lasse has been posted in India, Mozambique, Nepal, Tanzania, Nicaragua, Ghana, and Paris (OECD) and has undertaken missions to more than 15 developing countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. His roles have included Deputy Head of Mission, Senior Economist, Chief Technical Advisor, Head of Cooperation, and Team Leader.
In addition, Lasse has served as Co-Chair of the Community of Practice on Private Finance for Sustainable Development (CoP-PF4SD), a Board Member of the Rural Development Fund in Ghana, and Chair of the DAC-POVNET Working Group on Labour Market and Employment.
