Dr. Guillermo Franco is Managing Director and Global Head of Catastrophe Risk Research at Guy Carpenter. He currently coordinates Guy Carpenter’s research and development efforts in parametric risk transfer. Previously, he was responsible for catastrophe risk model evaluation activities through the Model Suitability Analysis (MSA)® initiative. Before joining Guy Carpenter, Guillermo was a Manager and Principal Engineer at AIR Worldwide, where he led the Decision Analytics practice focusing on portfolio optimization and parametric risk transfer. Prior to that, he was a Research Fellow at Columbia University’s Earth Institute, where he explored the socioeconomic impacts of natural disasters.
