Description

Pierre Karleskind is a former member of the European Parliament (2019-2024). During the last European legislature, he took part to the negotiations on the FuelEU Maritime legislation and on the inclusion of the maritime transport in the EU ETS. He was also chair of the Fisheries Parliamentary Committee. He previously held a position of Vice-President of the Regional Council of Britanny in France, where he was during almost ten years in charge of the maritime affairs (including ports) and of the European affairs. Before his political life, he used to be an expert in marine sciences and technologies in Brest. His academic background is a PhD degree in oceanography from the University of Western Britanny. He’s also graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in France.
