Description
Lorenzo Pavone is Deputy Head of the Networks, Partnerships and Gender Division at the OECD Development Centre. Lorenzo manages the Emerging Markets Network (EMnet), a business platform promoting policy dialogue and analysis of opportunities and challenges in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Prior to this assignment, he worked as Policy Analyst and Project Co-ordinator at the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme, to support policy reforms in the field of private sector development and competitiveness in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. Before joining the OECD, Lorenzo worked as a senior consultant in economic development and foreign direct investment and as a development economist and project manager at the Italian Development Co-operation Office in Tunisia. He has experience in emerging markets, sustainable development, competitiveness, investment promotion and business climate assessment. He holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is member of the Faculty Advisory Council of the Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.
