Description

João Paulo Braga is an economist at the Economic Transformation and Development Division, OECD Development Centre. He has been working for more than 18 years with sustainable development policy and finance covering fields such as climate economics, climate finance, bioeconomy, innovation, and industrial organization. A Brazilian national, he holds a Ph.D. and a Ms.C. from The New School for Social Research (NYC) in economics with an emphasis on green fiscal policy and climate finance and a Ms.C. from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a focus on industrial organization. Prior to joining the OECD, he has worked as an economist and managerial positions at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), implementing policy and development finance projects, and conducted policy-oriented research on climate finance and macroeconomics in international organizations such as the World Bank and the International Labour Organization.
