Description
Within the newly formed Airbus CSO organisation, Simone is holding the position of Senior Director within the department Regulatory and External Engagement managing the positioning and external advocacy of the company on Sustainability. Focusing in particular on the acceleration of the reduction of aviation’s climate impacts from CO2 and non-CO2 emissions, she engages and collaborates with industry partners, policy makers and other key aviation stakeholders to advance the industry’s environmental ambitions and meaningful policies. With 28 years of experience in the Aviation Industry and at Airbus in Germany and France, Simone had various strategic roles within the company such as in Corporate Finance, Procurement, Customer Services, Air Transport Affairs and Corporate Affairs. In her former position within Airbus Corporate Affairs (2018-2024) she worked with her team on the definition of Airbus’ decarbonisation strategy and also contributed to the development of the industry’s ambitious long-term goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions in 2050.
