Description
Nathalie Girouard is the Head of the Division for Environmental Performance and Information in the OECD Environment Directorate since 2015. She is overseeing the Environmental Performance Review programme, the development of work on environmental information and indicators, including the OECD International Programme for Action on Climate (IPAC). She is also implicated in the new OECD Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA). Between 2009 and 2014, Nathalie coordinated OECD work on green growth and sustainable development and oversaw the mainstreaming of green growth in country surveillance exercises and in cross-cutting work of OECD Committees. She was responsible for the delivery of the Green Growth Strategy’s Synthesis Report to the May 2011 Ministerial Council Meeting and ran the OECD Green Growth and Sustainable Development Forum. Nathalie was advisor to the OECD Secretary-General, co-ordinating the accession process of five countries to the OECD between 2007 and 2009. Prior to her first position at the OECD in the Economics Department, Nathalie belonged to the Research Department of the Bank of Canada. She holds a MSc in Economics from Montréal University.
