Digital technologies have undeniably brought significant benefits, but they also facilitate the spread of illegal and harmful content and activity online. This diminishes trust in the digital environment, undermines democratic values, and risks the safety and wellbeing of citizens.
Fostering a safe and trustworthy digital environment is an urgent policy challenge, and this panel will explore how to build the relevant evidence base and develop policies to meet it.
