About

Bénédicte Robert is regional Commissioner of education in Poitiers, overseeing the education of 300 000 students and responsible for 28 000 teachers, principals, inspectors ans administrative staff. She was before the director of the French Institute for education and training, the national agency operating leadership programmes for school leaders and school inspectors. Previously, she was doing policy-making at EU level in the field of lifelong learning. Before joining the European Commission, Bénédicte was a school inspector and a head of unit for innovation and research in France. She holds an MA and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Sciences Po, and has been a visiting student in prestigious American universities. She was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and a national prize for innovation in the public sector. Bénédicte specializes in education, training and change management, with a strong interest for digital education.
